I would highly recommend this series (looking forward to the third book to come) to anyone who enjoys adventure, gaslight fantasy, steampunk or mystery.

I am so delighted that this is a series! They get better and better, and keeps opening up further and further with so many potential options for future stories.

I loved the second book in the Terra Obscura series! The Genge’s were able to captivate me once again making it hard to put the book down. I can’t wait for book three!!!!!

I think I enjoyed this book even more than A Knock in the Dark. I am absolutely loving this series! Can’t wait for the next one! Keep them coming!!

I have only begun reading this book but I have to say that I love the way the author writes. There are so many word pictures! I can see what is being written. That to me is a clear sign of a great read and I am excited to keep going with this book.

April's Phoenix leads you on a journey through the joy and sorrow that many experience; ultimately seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. A very good read.

I’ve read this book several times and loved it more each time.

Fragments of Faith: A Gen X Journey

WARNING: This novel will trigger your Gen X angst.

It’s 1992 and Faith MacDonald’s final year of university in the small province of Prince Edward Island. Faith is on the cusp of adulthood and getting more and more stressed about her future with each passing day. Part of growing up means Faith needs to deal with things she’d rather forget, but she’s not confident she’s ready. Especially as she’s not thin enough yet – and being skinny will solve everything.

Besides the internal pressure of figuring out next steps, Faith tries to navigate complicated relationships with her family, her roommate, a gorgeous student she’s stalking, and every latch-key kid’s eternal babysitter: the beloved television.

Faith just wants love in her life. Or at least peace. And if she can’t find either, there’s always angry music to soothe her soul. And potato chips. But maybe the mysterious Mr.Darkness has something even better to offer …

Given this novel had a subtitle alluding to the experience of Generation X, I was a bit apprehensive to give this a read. However, as my review title implies, this story can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

This book brought me back to living in the 90’s on PEI. The main characters inner dialogue is hilarious on her struggles with the concept of maturing into a adult. Can’t wait for the next chapter!
