I’ve run The Uncanny Emporium as an ebay store for over 20 years (yes, I’m that old) and still have a 100% positive rating. My username is babahex if you’d like to go and see.

I love comics and have my entire life. When I was around 13 years old I started collecting them in a more serious and organized fashion. In fact, part of what I loved about comics was organizing and looking after them. Bagging, boarding, and alphabetizing them seemed to bring me peace and comfort in what felt like a chaotic world.

At one point, I had over 10,000 in my personal collection. Many I own were bought as investments and have never been read.

Now, I enjoy selling them and sending them off to new homes where I know they will be appreciated and someone else can continue to enjoy and care for them. Unfortunately, things over at ebay have changed and I can’t abide by the endless fees they charge. Therefore, I have made the bold (and maybe stupid) decision to cancel my store subscription and just sell comics and other interesting things from my collection here on my own store.

I will continue to provide the same high quality grading, packaging, and shipping service I did there.

When it comes to grading, I am not certified but I always grade books thoroughly and then list them with a slightly lower grade so that you, the customer, are always pleased with the book when you get it.

With regards to packaging and shipping, I used a proper, expandable comic shipping box that can hold up to 16 comics. I also pad the package to protect the contents. Shipping for 1-16 comics is $25 CDN (approx. $20 USD) I am a proud Canadian and deal in Canadian funds.

Shipping includes tracking and insurance.

In my time on ebay, I’ve never had someone request a refund but if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase you can return it in the same mailer (at customer’s expense) to me and I will immediately issue you a refund.
